Your Role

 

In this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and community infrastructure projects. Working with our clients across Northern Ontario, our team is part of bringing meaningful change by delivering community infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the client's projects, representing their best interests and achieving their strategic end goals.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction and operation of community infrastructure.
  • Lead project teams in project status reporting tusing progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project reports.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for select clients to nurture trusted relationships.
  • Contribute to planning and growth of the infrastructure services business unit within the Northern Ontario region.
  • Lead multiple project delivery teams while ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Act as an Account Manager by developing trusted client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Coach, mentor and develop project managers and project team members.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and best practices.
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, revenue recognition and resources.
  • Manage commercial contract terms and oversee change orders.
  • Collaborate across business units and promote continuous improvement.
  • Champion Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.
  • PMP, P.Eng., CET, RA or equivalent designation is an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of experience delivering capital projects in Indigenous communities, preferably in Northern Ontario
  • Previous exposure to capital planning for infrastructure development
  • Extensive client-facing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q’s, tenders and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery models and associated industry standard contracts.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, contract law and financial management.
  • Advanced knowledge of PMIS.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder and rightsholder management, and business development skills.
  • Practical understanding of provincial government planning legislation and processes.
  • The leadership skills needed to influence decisions and resolve client and project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project).

Expected Compensation: $97,920 -$134,640 per year (CAD)

 

This compensation range represents our good-faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
