Your role

 

 The Senior Project Manager leads operational readiness, transition planning, and move planning projects for complex facilities. This includes guiding service and user groups to align operational planning with the client’s strategy, project vision, clinical workflows, and service delivery requirements.

 

While our projects span all sectors, including Healthcare, Post‑Secondary, Corporate, and Government, we are looking for this role to have experience in acute care environments as many of our clients rely on deep understanding of clinical operations, patient flow, departmental interdependencies, and hospital activation requirements.

 

The successful candidate is an adaptive communicator able to work effectively with clinicians, administrators, contractors, consultants, and executive leadership. They support the identification, organization, and implementation of all activities required for operational planning, activation, and occupancy of new or renovated facilities, delivering work that reflects Colliers’ project management principles and our commitment to high‑quality client outcomes.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop scope narratives, delivery approaches, and pricing for proposals across industry sectors, contributing technical leadership to pursuits and supporting account growth
  • Build trusted client relationships and act as the client relationship manager, aligning operational planning with client goals while identifying opportunities for expanded services
  • Lead operational readiness and transition planning initiatives that support safe, effective service delivery from day one of operations
  • Support the establishment, evolution, and application of the operational readiness framework, templates, and standard deliverables, promoting consistency, quality, and scalability across projects
  • Provide change leadership through readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, workflow mapping, and communications planning, coaching team members in effective approaches
  • Lead User Group meetings and working sessions to validate operational requirements, workflows, interdependencies, and transition considerations.
  • Develop and oversee implementation plans, readiness frameworks, workback schedules, and integrated activation schedules, mentoring team members in consistent delivery practices
  • Coordinate with consultants, clinical leaders, departmental managers, and technical teams to align operational requirements with design, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Lead project teams and working groups, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting client decision‑making, and coaching practitioners toward high performance
  • Apply Colliers Project Leaders’ Quality Management System, tools, and templates across deliverables while maintaining ongoing engagement with existing and prospective clients, supporting business development activities and project reporting

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in change management, operational readiness, transition planning, or project management involving significant stakeholder engagement
  • A minimum 10 years of experience planning and successfully implementing change management initiatives and/or executing facility moves, ideally within healthcare or public-sector environments
  • Experience leading change and project management initiatives within interdisciplinary teams
  • Direct experience working in acute healthcare facilities, including understanding of clinical operations, patient care processes, and departmental interdependencies.
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Health Administration, Project Management (or equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
  • PMP and Lean Green Belt certification is considered an asset
  • Certified change management professional (e.g., Prosci or equivalent) considered an asset
  • Proactive with a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, achieve results and advance work plans
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to promote collaboration and support consensus-based decision making
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build effective relationships promote collaboration and reach consensus decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to clinical leadership, executives, and governance committees
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles, operational readiness practices, commissioning/activation processes, and healthcare system structure. Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and exciting environment
  • Working knowledge of the Provincial healthcare systems, healthcare delivery program operations, including community based healthcare delivery models would be considered an asset

Approximate Base Salary Range for Role: $100,000 CAD to $145,000 CAD.

Base Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
