Your role

Colliers Project Leaders Inc. is seeking a Director Infrastructure – Eastern Canada to support and implement a robust strategy for growth.  As an established leader in the sector, you will be responsible for identifying relevant trends and opportunities for Colliers' growth.

You will successfully operate in a matrix organizational structure to develop, direct, and participate in the execution of the sector business development strategy to achieve annual sales targets of at least 20% growth.

You will provide sector leadership by bolstering our brand identity, authoring thought leadership, and speaking at conferences. 

You have an established and growing network of relationships with key organizations and clients throughout the infrastructure sector both regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Building a strong presence in Eastern Canada in the infrastructure sector, keeping abreast of trends and challenges relevant to the industry and Colliers Project Leader Services
  • Identify opportunities, key accounts and clients in Eastern Canada and lead priority pursuits in collaboration with Eastern Region Business Units (i.e. Eastern Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador and Nunavut). Support client discovery calls and competitive bid responses.
  • Responsible for achieving annual sales target for the infrastructure sector.
  • Responsible for identifying the required expertise and capacity to win and lead projects in the sector.
  • Collaborative behavior with colleagues, other business leaders and external partners with a strong orientation towards business growth.
  • Clarify and anticipate sector trends and articulate how they affect clients in the sector, both internally and externally, developing approaches to address them.
  • Act as sector expert, or subject matter expert resource for Clients, Project Leads, Project Specialists, and Designated Project Managers delivering services in the sector.
  • Lead and direct the development of the sector sales plan, with input from key stakeholders, to achieve the sector sales targets for the year.
  • Support pursuits in sector as required by the BUs, providing sector specific input and guidance on relevant trends, challenges, commercial strategy, and resourcing decisions.
  • Establish a strong brand presence for Colliers in the sector through authoring thought leadership, featuring in video spotlights, speaking at events and conferences nationally, and in existing sector accounts.
  • Identify regional and national participants for sector related conferences and events.
  • Acquire membership and actively participate in sector organizations, pursuing leadership positions where appropriate, that will help grow the business, increase sector, and market identity, and recruit the best talent.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a practitioner or advisor (consultant or client side) in the infrastructure sector. Minimum five (5) years of experience in sales.
  • Practiced in consultative sales; listening to clients, identifying opportunities, knowing what is required to close the sale, and seeing the sale through.
  • Professional industry credentials relevant and specific to the sector are a strong asset.
  • Known industry player and leader across the sector nationally and well connected with key organizations and clients (target and existing) in the sector.
  • An established network of sector contacts nationally and involvement with applicable sector industry and trade associations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for all levels of our clients and our own organization including a proven ability to write winning proposals.
  • The ability to project and maintain a positive outlook and demonstrate an energetic disposition.
  • Willingness to travel as required across Canada.
