Your Role 

 

In this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead capital building and infrastructure projects helping our clients succeed by planning and building amazing workplaces and communities. We do this by thinking differently, sharing innovative ideas, and offering a unique and collaborative workplace where you can succeed.

 

As a successful Senior Program Manager, you will bring a wealth of experience in developing and leading programs and projects and demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity. You will be responsible for the pre-planning and development of program and project requirements by assessing their overall feasibility, risks, and opportunities. The role requires a strong mix of industry knowledge, analytics, and client engagement skills to understand and deliver outcomes that achieve client goals, objectives, and success measures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise to clients, representing their best interests, ensuring the achievement of their operational and strategic goals.
  • Lead and support clients and stakeholders through the development and implementation of short and long-term capital planning programs and projects.
  • Apply your deep understanding of the complete project lifecycle from pre-planning to close-out to achieve required outcomes.
  • Identify and analyze program and project relationships, including dependencies and interdependencies.
  • Review, develop and validate program and project documents including scope, budgets, schedules, taking into consideration various project delivery models.
  • Contribute to the development and approval of real estate options analysis, including project scope, costs, timelines, and risks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes to optimize and achieve efficiencies in the delivery of support and services.
  • Undertake research on industry-leading benchmarks, best practices, and standards, as well as market trends and data.
  • Develop and implement planning models for programs and projects.
  • Provide guidance and direction on capital investment, options analysis, risk management, change management, benefits realization, and governance.
  • Support the implementation of project management and other information management systems to deliver, manage and implement data-driven analysis.
  • Lead and mentor colleagues, within a matrixed organization, providing insight and constructive guidance and peer reviews.
  • Be the key interface with clients and stakeholders to build and nurture trusted relationships.
  • Apply your excellent communication skills to bring together and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Facilitate discussions to implement effective solutions across clients and stakeholders to resolve issues and disputes.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of support and services within Colliers Project Leaders

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex programs of projects with a background in capital planning.
  • A degree in architecture, engineering, business, real estate, or related discipline.
  • Expertise in capital and investment planning including the development of project scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Experience supporting the planning and delivery of programs and projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of project design and construction delivery methodologies, including Statements of Work and procurement.
  • Understanding of options analysis, risk management, change management, benefits realization, and governance.
  • Leadership skills capable of influencing decisions and the resolution of client, stakeholder, and project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
  • PMP designation, or other industry recognized credentials, are considered assets.
