Your role

 

Join our team as a Project Manager, to oversee managing the  risk control function on capital projects for our Federal Government clients. 

 

You've become known as a trusted advisor to your clients and have built strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders and decision makers. 

 

As Project Manager,  bring previous experience in leading projects varying in scope and complexity in the delivery of capital projects. You are part of a dynamic and client oriented professional environment providing consulting services to owners.

 

You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments and evaluate potential risk and opportunities. As well, recommend solutions, methodologies and strategies for risk mitigation. 

Along with that, you will also lead risk monitoring control activities and work with project owners to manage risk budgets. 

Responsibilities

Leadership: 

  • Demonstrate company values and cultural behaviours 
  • Lead development of Assistant Project Managers on your projects
  • Delegate and empower Assistant Project Managers 
  • Build a personal brand 

Growth: 

  • Grow sales inside existing accounts
  • Find opportunities to crossline selling in accounts you manage 
  • Grow your Fee Income Managed on your projects

Management: 

  • Manage project delivery teams to deliver the quality required by the client 
  • Manage implementation of the work breakdown structure 
  • Escalate oroject deliver and commercial/financial issues to Project Lead 

Quality:

  • Resonsible  for implementing all work on your projects is delivered in accordance with our Quality Management System
  • Responsible for Client Satisfaction 

Qualifications

 

  • University or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar project management or advisory role, consulting to public sector clients
  • Expereince overseeing the entire risk management process for a portfolio of projects 
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-RM, E.I.T/P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect, or other similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • A broad consulting skill set including strong presentation and stakeholder management, business case and report writing, and organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong project controls and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and external industry subject matter experts
  • Proficiency in working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Softwares (e.g. Primavera P6, Crytal Ball, Procore, Unifier etc.)
  • Must hold or be eligible for valid Government Security clearance at the Reliability or Secret level.
