    Our Advisory Services group is growing and as a result we are looking for a Senior Manager with experience in Enterprise Program Management to join our team.


    Our Advisory Services Group e is an independent Real Estate, Asset and Program Management business working in partnership with our clients to improve the performance of their assets, realizing their true potential and managing the associated risks. This includes strategic planning for real estate portfolios, capital projects, business case and feasibility studies, program management, as well as workplace innovation and accommodation planning. We develop trusted relationships with decision making executives by delivering successful multi-disciplinary solutions throughout their business lifecycle.


    As a Senior Manager, you will losely with our clients in a consulting capacity to identify their specific needs and deploy programs and strategies that demonstrate your comprehensive design and construction industry experience and practical and effective project management, consulting and communication skills. You will leverage this experience to develop trusted relationships with decision making executives by delivering successful multi-disciplinary solutions across a range of engagements.


    The Advisory team provides consulting services to capital project owners, contractors, architects and engineering firms, government agencies, developers, and other organizations with a significant interest in the successful development and delivery of capital projects.


    What you will get to do as a Senior Manager:

    • General Advisory:
    • Provide delivery and advisory in real estate, capital projects, infrastructure both in private and public sector (municipal, provincial and federal);
    • Previous experience working in a professional services or consulting environment considered an asset;
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of capital investment and budgeting, asset management and real estate cycle in relation to projects life cycle
    • Lead clients to set up their organizations for success and for benefits to be realized both from business and project life cycle perspective;
    • Lead the client through strategic planning, strategy and development;
    • Facilitate skills and stakeholder engagement including conducting workshops, focus groups and interviews;
    • Provide gap analysis on key processes following both qualitative and quantitative techniques and identify areas of improvement;
    • Lead large cross-functional process improvement workshops;
    • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative data collection and related analysis;
    • Play a key role with respect to business development, practice management, marketing collaterals, proposal development, thought leadership etc.
    • Process mapping and business requirements data collection
    • Enterprise program and project management advisory
    • Project governance and oversight of capital, real estate and infrastructure projects

    What you will need to be successful:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Architecture, relevant Construction Management Certification or related experience is required; degree MBA or masters an asset and desirable;
    • 10 + years’ experience in consulting on major projects in engineering, construction, project controls or hands-on experience in a leadership, Project Management and/or Business Analysis role;
    • PMI PMP and/or PMI PBA or IIBA CBAP certification considered an asset.
    • Facilitation skills – workshops and meetings, strong communication – written (report writing) and verbal (presenting and client relations);
    • Knowledge of project management knowledge areas including subject matter expertise in project controls, (cost, schedule, risk), document management;
    • Understanding of project life cycle of an infrastructure asset and capital projects and an understanding of capital budgeting process;
    • Prior experience in conduction research, synthesizing data, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, writing reports and preparing presentations;
    • Ability to thrive in a team and collaborative setting, to contribute and share innovative ideas, to regularly seek guidance and feedback and work to ensure the success of the team;
    • Ability to work independently, when required, take initiative, maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
    • Prior experience with Process Improvement, Business Process Improvement, Process Management (process improvement, reengineering, benchmarking studies, ISO/QS 9000, Six Sigma Initiatives, etc.), Operational Efficiency;
    • In-depth knowledge of PM Systems and commonly used online platforms and project management technology solutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Excellent problem-solving skills;
    • Proficient use of MS Office software (Excel, Word, Project, Visio and PowerPoint); Primavera considered an asset; and
    • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.

    Prior experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:


    Experience in analysis of complex projects with respect to performance, risk and reporting;

    • In-depth knowledge of some benchmarking principles and processes, application;
    • Using project and construction management software, and other data analysis and visualization tools;
    • Developing project cost estimates and budgets;
    • Construction claims and dispute resolution, including construction cost and delay analysis;
    • Developing project schedules using software, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and other commonly used construction applications;
    • Process mapping and the use of related software, such as Visio;
    • Procurement options analysis.
