    Colliers Project Leaders is experiencing unprecedented growth. We seek a Clinical Project Manager – Medical Equipment Planning, to join our team and work closely with our clients across the Healthcare sector.

     

    As a Clinical Project Manager, you will leverage your experience gained through hands on clinical skills experience along with operational and business side experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.

     

    You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of ten (7) years of recent, related clinical planning experience, including that in a variety of clinical settings within an acute healthcare setting. 

     

    Your background ideally includes experience with a renovation or new construction project, where there was interaction with a wide range of stakeholder groups to initiate, plan, develop, and execute outcomes related to clinical process improvement that was related to changes in the built hospital environment.  You hold a well-developed and comprehensive understanding of clinical process and flow, Lean methodology, various roles and responsibilities in a clinical setting, and an understanding of how various individuals and programs support each other and optimally interact in a healthcare setting.

     

    The healthcare landscape is one of constant evolution and developing challenges. Responding to the complexities of changing regulation and market demand, the need for strong leadership and delivery on healthcare projects is ever increasing. Acting as a medical equipment planner, you’ll be providing valuable support and guidance as spaces are designed, helping client stakeholders provide input into the planning, while questioning and challenging their assumptions and requirements in order to create innovation, efficiency, compliance and process improvement within the organization and optimal equipment outcomes to support this activity.

     

    This role requires someone who is detail oriented and strives for perfection.  The complexity and interaction of medical equipment within the design process and its ultimate ability to enhance clinical outcomes requires you to be aware of how these details affect the planning and design process, as well as staff and patient experiences.  Your ability to drive discussion around the planning processes will make you a trusted advisor to healthcare teams.

    Responsibilities

    As a Clinical Project Manager, you will:

    • Lead assigned projects related to the medical equipment planning of a specialized clinical program area(s), including fact gathering, user interaction, coordination, planning, implementing, evaluating, and ongoing development through to procurement and implementation; you provide strategic clinical advice to projects your team-members are working on, develop strategies for how complex medical equipment planning outcomes can be developed and implemented, and contribute to developing scope and pricing for project proposals.
    • Provide clinical insights to support the development of tools and templates for the team’s review; develops and utilizes standard methodology geared toward common project outcomes (deliverables), develops draft tools and templates; identifies areas for integration and takes initiative to ensure tools and templates are efficient and effective.
    • Supports day-to-day management of the project; completes work as part of a team, identifies, manages and mitigates risks and issues;

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need to be successful: 

    • Clinical experience, preferably you hold a Registered Nurse (RN) designation or suitable equivalent and hold an in depth understanding of the complex healthcare sector, in particular the use of medical equipment and clinical process.
    • 7 years related clinical planning experience, including that in a variety of clinical settings within an acute healthcare setting.
    • Effective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
    • Hands on Project Management experience 
    • Willingness to travel Nationally on occasion.
