    Who you are:


    We’re looking for Construction Contract Administrators who can take responsibility for administering the terms of construction contracts on behalf of our clients for various construction site projects in different field office locations.

    What success looks like:

    • The ability to provide supervision and guidance to junior and senior inspectors on various construction sites
    • Ensuring and promoting ongoing adherence to health and safety policies and guidelines on site in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations
    • Ensure regulation compliance through preliminary and ongoing site plan reviews
    • Chair construction meetings, prepare reporting, quantity measurements, claims and payment certifications
    • Liaise and ensure ongoing, effective communication between clients, contractors and consultants
    • Administer, on behalf of MTO, the terms of the assigned construction contracts


    What you bring:

    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant construction contract administration experience on municipal or transportation construction projects
    • A university degree or college diploma in civil engineering or a related discipline
    • Registered or eligible to register for P.Eng. or CET designation a strong asset
    • Certified by OACETT for the Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) designation is a strong asset
    • Sound knowledge of design standards, OPS specifications and materials associated with construction, laws and regulations including environmental, occupational health and safety requirements and their application in construction contracts
    • Previous experience and education or training in dispute resolution, MTO T131 Advanced Claims Dispute Resolution certification an asset
    • Demonstrated experience in highway, freeway and ATMS construction projects particularly with respect to asphalt, grading and structural inspections
    • The ability to interpret critical path schedules


    Bonus skills and experience:

    • Familiarity with MTO's Contract Administration platform WBCMS
    • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence others and successfully resolve a variety of construction site related issues
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
    • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
