    As Colliers Project Leaders continues to grow and attract exciting new project opportunities, we seek a Senior Project Manager to join our Team in Southern Ontario. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a professional who is ready to take on the challenge of growing an emerging service offering within an established project leadership company.

    The ideal candidate must be highly motivated and a driven leader that is results oriented and team focused. The candidate must have multifaceted experience working across a variety of sectors and with a variety of clients/organizations. The candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in the areas of municipal civil works, water/waste water facilities, heavy civil works, transportation infrastructure, administration/recreation facilities and various other forms of horizontal infrastructure and vertical infrastructure.

    The Senior Project Manager acts as a trusted advisor to Colliers Project Leaders clients, representing their interests at all times and providing technical and project leadership to the teams they oversee.

    What you’ll get to do as the Senior Project Manager at Colliers Project Leaders:

    • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives;
    • Act as the key client relationship manager, developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients;
    • Assist in the development of new project opportunities with existing and new clients and the growth of the business and the Federal team within Southern Ontario;
    • Lead, develop and mentor Federal services staff in the region;
    • Assist proposal team in developing compelling responses to procurement solicitations;
    • Regularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports;
    • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents;
    • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues;
    • Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication;
    • Chair project and site meetings find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders;
    • Demonstrate your leadership abilities and communication skills to bring together a variety of stakeholders to achieve results; and
    • Share your experience and expertise with junior team members.


    What you’ll need to be successful:

    • Minimum 15 years of project management experience
    • Either a P.Eng designation or a PMP designation is mandatory 
    • Extensive client interaction experience at a senior level
    • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of project delivery models, including design-build, construction management, and design-bid-build
    • Experience and understanding of public procurement practices (federal/provincial/municipal), contract law and standard form contracts
    • Experience managing projects through design, tendering and construction, providing day-to-day oversight as well as procurement of consultants and contractors
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
    • Leadership experience in the management and motivation of disparate teams
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continued learningFederal government experience an asset
    • Federal Security Clearance at Reliability level an asset
    • Diploma or university degree in engineering, architecture or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
    • LEED accreditation an asset
