    As Colliers Project Leaders continues to grow and attract exciting new project opportunities, we seek an Project Manager to join our team in the Ottawa Office and supporting projects throughout Eastern Ontario.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll get to do as a Project Manager at Colliers Project Leaders:

    • Develop strong client relationships and act as a key advisor throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives
    • Dedicate your expertise to the delivery of capital projects for commercial and institutional public-sector clients
    • Establish client expectations early on, manage them throughout and ensure the satisfaction of our clients on all projects
    • Be a trusted advisor to clients and represent their best interests with respect to contractual and technical issues
    • Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication
    • Organize design meetings and review design, tender and construction documents
    • Chair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders
    • Regularly reporting on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports
    • Manage all procurement processes related to the project
    • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents
    • Review construction progress and prepare site review reports

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need to be successful:

    • 5 years of experience, representing owners in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors.
    • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or quantity surveying. Ideally PMP certified or working towards certification.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Skilled ability to facilitate and manage the efforts of a project team - architects, engineers, consultants and contractors.
    • Strong knowledge of various types of construction and project management methodologies and practices in Canada.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement practices and contracts for construction in Ontario.
    • Familiarity with environmental sustainability design concepts.
    • Ability to review and understand technical drawings and specifications for construction would be an asset.
    • Broad base of knowledge in construction costs, building codes, contract law and relevant legislation in Canada
    • Strong organizational skills, combined with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues.
