    Our Advisory Services group is growing and as a result we are looking for an Advisor to join our team.


    The Advisor supports Senior Advisors in the delivery, management and continuous improvement of Colliers Project Leaders Advisory Services.   


    The Advisor contributes to the team by providing research, document preparation, financial analysis, development of business cases and feasibility studies and other deliverables required by the Advisory team. The Advisor will primarily assist Senior Advisory staff to deliver their engagements and may be assigned their own engagements commensurate with their level of expertise and knowledge.


    As a management consultant, the Advisor is an experienced facilitator and excellent communicator with demonstrated client facing experience.


    Our Advisory Services is an independent Real Estate, Asset and Program Management business working in partnership with our clients to improve the performance of their assets, realizing their true potential and managing the associated risks. This includes strategic planning for real estate portfolios, capital projects, business case and feasibility studies, program management, as well as workplace innovation and accommodation planning. We develop trusted relationships with decision making executives by delivering successful multi-disciplinary solutions throughout their business lifecycle.


    What you’ll get to do as an Advisor:


    • Working alongside Managing Directors and Senior Advisors, prepare, or assist in the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, needs assessments, financial analyses including all project documents such as minutes of meetings, memos, status reports and financial reports
    • Assist the Managing Directors and Senior Advisors in the development of tools and resource materials on SharePoint including defining new methodologies, business products, and templates.
    • Assist the Managing Directors and Senior Advisors in the planning and delivery of Colliers marketing plan.
    • Assist other Business Unit in the delivery of Advisory Services mandates as required.
    • Support the local Advisory Services offering in accordance with corporate goals and objectives.
    • Develop business opportunities, provide information for, and attend the regional marketing meetings.
    • Source project leads and follow-up with expressions of interest and/or project proposals.
    • Use client contacts and the good will generated to increase the client base and identify new business development and marketing opportunities – ensure data is recorded in ACT!
    • Assist the Managing Directors and Senior Advisors with the preparation of RFP and proposal responses.
    • If deemed necessary, maintain a documented record of reviews and communications between Colliers and clients.
    • Control project-related documents in accordance with the procedure for document and data control and maintain filing systems.
    • Generate and maintain project-planning documentation, including schedules, cost control mechanisms, and work breakdown structures.
    • Maintain traceability between finished products and the personnel and organizations that created them.



    What you’ll need to be successful:


    • Diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Design, Finance, or a combination of related academic and practical experience.
    • CMC, CMA, PMP, MBA, LEED designations an asset.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting or leading client engagements within a related industry.
    • A broad skill set including strong writing, organizational and analytical skills, excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interpret and compile information and effectively articulate and present your findings.
    • A high level of competency with respect to financial management, with the ability to demonstrate financial aptitude in the areas of analysis, comprehension of P & L statements and ability to define a variety of performance metrics.
    • A quick study with a strong aptitude for understanding client business processes and requirements and demonstrating that understanding to clients.
    • Client facing experience with an aptitude for business development and marketing and demonstrated experience identifying opportunities for future business and /or opportunities for other service offerings within Colliers.
    • Successful support or completion of client engagements demonstrating the capability to deliver Colliers Advisory Service offerings and products as described.
    • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with a variety of procurement and contract agreements, including the ability to apply legal language and standard clauses and to understand legal terminology.
    • Proven ability to research, distill and identify relevant information across a wide variety of sectors and industries.
    • Familiarity with project management software tools and an above average level of competency with word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), presentation (PowerPoint), and process design (Visio) and scheduling (MS Project) software.
