    As a management consultant, you are part of a dynamic and client oriented professional environment providing consulting services to owners and investors, providing business leaders and senior executives with the expert advice they require to make informed decisions regarding their real property assets and strategies. The Senior Advisor has the capability and experience to lead client stakeholder groups through a diverse range of planning and decision support scenarios including defining business case needs, assessing and prioritizing spending, translating financial analysis into strategy linked action plans, establishing best practices, and determining the feasibility, risk and cost of various facility solutions.


    Our Advisory Services works in partnership with our clients to improve the performance of their assets, realizing their true potential and managing the associated risks. This includes strategic planning for real estate portfolios, capital projects, financial advisory, business case and feasibility studies, program management, as well as workplace innovation, and accommodation planning. We develop trusted relationships with decision making executives by delivering successful multi-disciplinary solutions throughout a client’s real property lifecycle.

    Partner with our public and private sector clients on a diverse range of advisory assignments and scenarios including, but not limited to:


    • providing real estate portfolio optimization, analysis and revitalization strategies
    • defining and analyzing business cases, growth planning for capital projects, needs assessment and conducting options analysis
    • determining the feasibility, risk and economics of real estate and infrastructure strategies
    • financial analysis and funding strategy recommendations
    • developing program management, PMO, portfolio management, performance auditing, program governance structures and processes
    • conducting benchmarking and best practice studies
    • Create financial models and provide detailed analysis to support business and investment decisions
    • Perform due diligence and perform detailed analysis that will help develop comprehensive strategies and business plans in support of client investments
    • Apply your exceptional writing skills to prepare reports for a broad variety of assignments.
    • Contribute to winning proposals and participate in compelling client presentations
    • Build on your understanding of the Canadian advisory marketplace and gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and partners including corporations, government, investors, pension funds, real estate operating companies, REITs and financial institutions


    What you need to be successful

    • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related mix of academic and practical experience
    • CFA or MBA designation highly preferred
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar professional environment or advisory role, consulting to public and private sector clients
    • A broad consulting skill set including strong presentation and stakeholder facilitation, business case and report writing, organizational and analytical skills
    • Previous experience consulting to PMO and program management groups within companies on their practices, systems and tools is considered an asset
    • Excels in a dynamic and rapidly growing work environment, managing multiple assignments concurrently
    • Strong financial analytical skills, along with an understanding of real estate and redevelopment financial information
    • Excellent verbal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interpret and compile information and effectively articulate and present findings
    • Exceptional writing ability and aptitude for compiling well-thought out and concise summaries, reports and recommendations that provide outstanding value to clients
    • Projects a positive outlook and demonstrate an energetic disposition with clients, along with the ability to effectively influence positive client decisions
    • Excellent relationship-building skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and external industry subject matter experts
    • Advance proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential; MS Project experience is an asset as is marketing experience and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite.
