    What success looks like:

    • Sustained year over year double-digit Infrastructure Services growth.
    • Achievement of key performance metrics including Infrastructure Services sales targets and performance plans within four (4) Western Canada Business Units (P&Ls).
    • Ensuring services are delivered in a way that exceeds client expectations.
    • Effective leadership, motivation and inspiration of the Western Canada Infrastructure Services Team with a focus on employee engagement, recruitment, identifying and managing human resources matters including training, performance management and project allocation.
    • As the Key Account Manager for the Infrastructure Services Team in Western Canada, cultivate and sustain effective client relationships with both new and existing key clients across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
    • The ability to provide executive oversight and advice, steadily leading client programs and projects to successful completion by representing the clients’ best interests at all times, particularly with respect to contractual and technical issues, risk assessment and mitigation, change management, and cost and schedule management.
    • Ensuring the Infrastructure Services Team in Western Canada operates in accordance with corporate goals and objectives, our ISO 9001 registered Quality Management System and that profitability and successful project operations are achieved.
    • Formation of strong cross-functional partnerships with both the Senior Regional Vice President and individual Business Unit Vice-Presidents in a matrix environment.
    • Leadership, responsibility and accountability for the Infrastructure Services growth agenda in Western Canada.
    • Leading and supporting the attainment of national Infrastructure Services strategies across Canada as a member of the company’s Infrastructure Services Leadership Team.



    Who you are:


    We’re looking for an experienced, high performing and personable individual capable of taking on overall responsibility and authority for the sustained growth of Infrastructure Program and Project Management Services in our Western Canada Region, extending from British Columbia to Manitoba.


    Already known as a successful leader with superior skills, knowledge and experience in the planning and delivery of horizontal infrastructure programs and projects such as light transit, rail, roads, interchanges and water/wastewater, you are keen to take on responsibility for leading a fast-growing service line in our consulting practice.  Developing business plans, hiring, nurturing and developing a team, ensuring value added consulting services are profitability delivered across the horizontal infrastructure sector and always ensuring a high degree of client satisfaction is the hallmark of the successful candidate.


    You’ll also bring to the table a proven business development and sales track-record including the ability to pursue, win and grow long-term strategic annuity accounts and major projects. You are adept at maintaining trusted advisor relationships with existing clients and building meaningful relationships with new clients through a combination of effective account management and exceptional client relationship management. Your network runs deep, and you are well respected and trusted enabling you to form strategic partnerships across the industry to further advance the company’s growth.

    What you bring:

    • A university degree in engineering or comparable education
    • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation
    • A minimum of 15 years of experience representing the owner’s interests on horizontal infrastructure and large civil projects or programs
    • Previous experience in leadership positions, managing and mentoring teams and ensuring departmental objectives are met or exceeded
    • Strong ability to build, lead and motivate a team in a matrix environment
    • Exceptional knowledge and expertise regarding civil engineering works, water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, transportation infrastructure, transit systems, bridges and other heavy civil structures, utilities, major land development and other horizontal infrastructure projects
    • A high level of competency with respect to financial management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills
    • Exceptional negotiation skill and influence ability
    • Strong organization skills and ability to work collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders
    • Aptitude for conflict resolution with respect to client, project, technical and interpersonal issues
    • Highly proficient in MS Project, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
