To meet our strategic goals while continuing to be leaders in our field providing outstanding project management services to our clients, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in various areas within the Healthcare sector including planning, Ministry of Health relations, long term care, acute care, community health, infection control, risk and change management, project scheduling, budgeting, procurement and commissioning.


    As Senior Project Manager you will bring experience working on medium- to large-scale healthcare projects.   You will be able to demonstrate a portfolio of successful healthcare projects varying in size and complexity. Ideally you will have experience in design, construction and commissioning phases with specialized knowledge of operational environments and infection control.  Experience with planning, advisory and consultancy services to owners and key stakeholder groups within the Healthcare space is an asset.


    Our professionals will interface with diverse project teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders.  Ideal candidates will be high performers in their field and will have such industry-specific credentials as PMP, P.Eng., RA, MHA, PQS, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or other relevant industry designations.

    How you’ll contribute as a Senior Project Manager at Colliers Project Leaders:

    • Develop strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives
    • Work on small-medium-and large-scale healthcare projects with various project delivery models and ensure all work is in accordance with healthcare standards, policies and procedures
    • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
    • Interface regularly with internal and external project stakeholders, maintaining appropriate lines of communication on an ongoing basis
    • Initiate and maintain required project-related documents and deliver all work in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System processes and procedures
    • Coordinate, chair and participate in various project and site meetings, working collaboratively with the project team to resolve issues and engage multiple stakeholders to identify solutions
    • If possible, write feasibility reports and other studies to support the goals of the client


    • 10 years + of demonstrated progressive Project Management experience, representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of new construction and renovation projects in the healthcare sector
    • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with healthcare operations and environments - acute care, long term care and/or community health. 
    • A university degree or diploma in such disciplines as engineering, architecture, construction project management, health service, or health administration. 
    • Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models and financial management
    • Experience in large and complex alternative financing projects including P3s, would be an asset
    • Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility and respect.
    • Experience writing planning documents would be an asset
    • Experience working with the Ministry of Health would be an asset
    • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
    • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment.
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and superior problem-solving ability.
    • Excellent presentation, technical writing, facilitation and training skills.
    • Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
    • Working knowledge of legislation, codes and policies regarding infection prevention and controls regarding healthcare construction and renovations
    • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng. or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset
