    As Colliers Project Leaders continues to grow we are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure to join our team in Southern Ontario.


    The Senior Project Manager plays a key leadership role on major projects or programs of work that contribute to the strategic growth of the company. They are directly responsible for developing and leading a team of talented and dedicated professionals and are assigned ownership of major infrastructure projects or programs.

    At Colliers Project Leaders, the Senior Project Manager has direct responsibility for identifying, pursuing and securing program and project management mandates for the firm. Their legacy is evidenced by the manner in which his/her team members satisfy or exceed client expectations. The Senior Project Manager provides senior-level operations and business support to the Infrastructure Services Vice President and is entrusted with leading and mentoring staff, developing competitive pricing strategies, directing external stakeholder communication, and nurturing long-term, sustaining client relationships.


    You will bring a successful track record of program and project management leadership, preferably gained within a consulting environment (engineering or construction industries) or as an owner of horizontal infrastructure.
    You will be able to demonstrate an understanding and disciplined approach to all aspects of program and project management and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of a broad range of engineering topics and have experience working on a variety of horizontal infrastructure projects in areas including transit (rail/road), transportation, structures and water/wastewater.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll get to do as a Senior Project Manager:

    • Play a leadership role in the growth of Canada’s largest and fastest growing program and project management specialist firm known by reputation for excellence and developing leadership
    • Directly manage large and complex, high profile mandates to achieve client satisfaction, corporate, human resource, quality and financial objectives 
    • Serve as the firm’s Client Relationship Manager with ownership of market sectors, client accounts and client programs
    • Leverage the personal autonomy and business unit support granted to develop and grow your team, accounts and client base
    • Act as the advocate of the company’s vision, communicating the corporate vision to staff, clients and the marketplace
    • Achieve maximum human resource performance for Colliers Project Leaders including recruitment, selection, on-boarding, training, performance management, health and safety, employee relations, and employee recognition and retention
    • Demonstrate by example, support and implement Colliers Project Leaders corporate objectives such as employee engagement, environmental, social, community, and sustainability
    • Participate in annual business planning and budgeting exercises
    • As part of a recognized industry leader, promote and market the company with existing and prospective clients and employees
    • Lead Colliers Project Leaders' response to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, your Project Team and the Infrastructure Services Vice President

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need to be successful:

    • A minimum of 15 years of experience in program and project and management, representing owners to deliver projects or programs of varying size and scope in a range of horizontal infrastructure segments including transit, transportation, structures, water and waste water.
    • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, leading and managing a consulting services business: business development, operations management and reporting, and people management
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • The talent to originate and build meaningful, sustaining, long-term relationships with staff and clients
    • The ability to evidence and sustain a leadership role in the company and the industry
    • Established leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues
    • The ability to project and maintain a positive outlook and demonstrate an energetic disposition
    • Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, program and project management models and financial management, as well contract law and relevant legislation
    • Practical knowledge of government procurement practices, bid preparation and contracts.
    • Strong computer skills, including scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
    • Completion of a university degree in commerce, business administration, engineering or a related discipline, with professional status, or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
    • Professional designation such as PgMP, PMP or P.Eng is considered an asset.
