    What success looks like:

    • You have been effective as the primary representative for the client on site and been responsible for administering the terms of the construction agreement, ensuring the contractor’s performance is in line with contract documents and that the client’s best interests are protected at all times
    • You have the ability to provide supervision and guidance to junior and senior inspectors on various construction site projects
    • You ensure and promote ongoing adherence to health and safety policies and guidelines on site in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations
    • You ensure regulation compliance through preliminary and ongoing site plan reviews
    • Your attention to detail and documentation ability results in timely and accurate reporting, quantity measurements, claims resolution and payment certifications
    • You’re effective in liaising with project stakeholders and ensuring ongoing, effective communication between clients, contractors and consultants

    What you bring:

    • A university degree or diploma in civil engineering or related discipline
    • At least 10 years of relevant construction contract administration experience on various transportation projects
    • A strong aptitude for reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
    • Registration or eligibility for registration for P.Eng. or CET designation
    • Sound knowledge of design standards, specifications and materials associated with construction laws and regulations including environmental, traffic control, and occupational health and safety requirements and their application in construction contracts
    • Previous experience and training in road construction, in particular bridges and noise wall construction

    Bonus skills and experience:

    • Certification by OACETT for the Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) designation
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
    • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
