    As Colliers Project Leaders continues to grow and attract exciting new project opportunities, we seek a Senior Project Manager to join our Montreal team. Our ideal candidate is a proactive, team-oriented professional with over ten years’ experience delivering capital improvement projects. Preference will be given to candidates who are either a licensed engineer or architect in the Province of Quebec. The Project Manager will provide technical and managerial leadership to clients and project teams to ensure project success is achieved.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll get to do as a Senior Project Manager:

    • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s strategy and goals
    • Lead programs or work and large capital projects, varying in size and scope
    • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
    • Select, organize and influence the performance of multi-disciplined project teams
    • Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
    • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Managers, Principals or Vice President
    • Regularly reporting on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports
    • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents
    • Oversee the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need to be successful:

    • Over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owners to in the delivery of building development and capital improvement projects for education and other institutional clients - municipal/provincial, social infrastructure.
    • A university degree in engineering or architecture, licensed engineer or architect in the Province of Quebec.
    • Public sector project management experience for construction projects above $25M
    • Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
    • Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment
    • Effective leadership and organization skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
    • Effective in making decisions, and solving problems based on sound analysis, experience and judgement.
    • Ability to work effectively with a variety of clients’ types, diverse project teams and multi-disciplined consultants.
    • Excels in a multi-project role and a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce accurate, complete and thorough work of high quality
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
    • PMP designation and LEED AP accreditation an asset
