    If so, you might be a great fit for our Proposal Team. We are looking for a talented Proposal Writer to join our team in Ottawa on a 14-month contract.

     

    As a Proposal Writer, you will write, edit and provide strategic input to proposals across the country. You will leverage internal relationships to secure the support and assistance of other staff required to complete proposals in a timely manner, consistent with corporate marketing and proposal writing standards and brand messaging. You will also produce dynamic presentations and marketing materials that will wow our clients.

    Responsibilities

    How you’ll contribute as a Proposal Writer at Colliers Project Leaders:

    • Lead the development of professional, high-quality, compelling proposals through the strategic management of our proposal response from RFP receipt to delivery of the final product
    • Write and develop clear, persuasive proposal content (written and visual) that is technically correct and clearly conveys the proposal strategy
    • Define and manage the proposal response plan, schedule, and internal communications associated with the proposal development including follow-up with the contributors
    • Actively lead proposal strategy meetings, researching internal and external information, and distilling into clear win strategies
    • Identify risks associated with proposal preparation and ensure resolution
    • Develop core content to be used in all proposal submissions, and provide final editing to ensure the response is accurate, concise, and effective 
    • Support our marketing team members with client presentations and collateral development in support of proposal submissions and business development opportunities
    • Participate in proposal debriefings to ensure continuous quality improvement and to identify enhancements for proposal content and process
    • Ensure that the brand and messaging in all proposals is consistent with corporate standards

    Qualifications

    What experience and skills you’ll bring to the table:

    • Exceptional business writing, editing, and communications skills
    • A post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent field of study
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid or proposal development is required
    • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products with strong Word proficiency
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites software (particularly InDesign) is an asset
    • Bilingual English and French is a strong asset
    • Previous experience in architecture, engineering, construction, management consulting or other professional services environment considered a strong asset
