    Responsibilities

    What success looks like:

    • Ensuring a sales and business development culture with senior leaders, the business development team and other internal stakeholders resulting in achievement of national sales targets and company growth
    • Development and implementation of successful business plans and sales strategies
    • Development of a cohesive business development team all working to a common goal of organizational success
    • Providing effective coaching and mentorship to senior management, the business development team, marketing and proposal teams, and other internal client groups relative to business development and sales strategies
    • Improvements in brand awareness, implementation of effective sales and marketing campaigns, and building a consistent sales pipeline
    • Continuous improvement of business development and sales tools, processes, procedures, strategies, tactics and plans
    • Act as a key Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for major client accounts and lead major national pursuits or critical proposal submissions

    Qualifications

    Who you are:

     

    We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to further define and develop a business development culture within the company that instills a true focus on best-in-class account management and sales.

     

    You can take ownership of the sales strategy and implement a national business development plan that ensures growth in key market segments. The Business Development and Senior Management teams will look to you as a leader, coach and subject matter expert relating to key sales, business development and customer relationship management techniques and strategies.

    What you bring:

    • A Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Management or other relevant field of study
    • At least 15 years of experience in business development management and leading a National team of professionals within the project management or design consulting environment, construction industry or commercial real estate market
    • Demonstrated experience developing and executing national sales strategies with measurable objectives and KPIs
    • An established network and industry contacts that can be leveraged on a national level
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Solid influence ability and collaborative approach when working with Senior Leadership, the Business Development team, clients and other internal and external stakeholders

    Bonus skills and experience:

    • Professional industry credentials such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Certified Sales Leaders (CSL) from the Canadian Professional Sales Association a strong asset
    • Involvement in national industry associations an asset
    • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to resolve a variety of client, project and people challenges
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM systems
