Colliers Project Leaders Edmonton office has recently been selected to lead the development of the New Edmonton Hospital Project ($2 Billion) and the Willow Square Continuing Care Centre in Fort McMurray ($110 Million) among others and as a result are looking to build our healthcare team. As Owner’s Representative and Planning Consultant on these amazing projects, our teams are responsible for master planning, functional programs, schematic/indicative design, technical requirements and compliance monitoring.

What success looks like:

  • You’ve completed a number of facilities and building projects, varying in size and scope ideally in the institutional sector, particular in healthcare, long-term care and community health facilities
  • Your clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their business goals and objectives
  • Your clients are impressed with your ability to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues
  • Your project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget
  • You maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President


Who you are:


We’re looking for experienced project managers who are looking for the right opportunity to leverage their strong reputation in the institutional and social infrastructure sector into a successful leadership role. You bring a wealth of experience leading projects varying in scope and complexity in healthcare, including acute, long-term care and community health environments.


You’re already known as a trusted advisor to your clients and have built strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You bring in-depth knowledge and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish – on time and on budget. You also maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, keeping them in mind for new business and sales opportunities.


Are you looking to build upon your reputation as a project leader in the healthcare sector to make a difference for new clients and businesses? Look no further.


What you bring: 

  • A university degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • At least 15 years of experience in project management and client-facing roles
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset

Bonus skills and experience: 

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
