    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule for a program of major construction and engineering projects;
    • Identify project activities, create maintain the project schedule, establishing a time control system, monitoring progress (including cost and schedule controls) and responding to variances;
    • In the master schedule: define deliverables, identify key milestones and deadlines, review project progress, and engage in ongoing risk management.
    • Identify impacts on timelines, timelines for work processes and approval periods to master schedule;
    • Communicate with the Project Managers and stakeholders to input modifications to the project schedule or the project Work Breakdown Structure.
    • Prepare an optimized project schedule, using Critical Path Methodology, to identify measures to shorten total project duration;
    • Review and monitor the overall project schedule on a regular basis using information provided from the project team; mitigate schedule delays as required.
    • Maintain schedule tracking and change management records;
    • Document issues and resolutions related to the project schedule;
    • Communicate with the Project Manager, management team or stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables using logic diagrams, bar charts and narrative reports; and
    • Contribute to the development and management of process and procedures used in project operations.

    Qualifications

    • Degree or diploma with 7+ years of experience working in project management with a specific focus on scheduling;
    • PMI-SP designation is an asset;
    • 7+ years’ experience creating, monitoring and managing complex schedules for construction, architecture or engineering projects in MS Project (Primavera P6 is an asset);
    • Detailed knowledge of project management methodologies, including scheduling best practices and Critical Path Methodology;
    • Ability to bring multiple stakeholders together for regular project discussion/strategy meetings;
    • Ability to analyze detailed schedules and make recommendations for changes/improvements; and
    • Excellent communication skills, with a professional manner;
    • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a relevant federal government security clearance. Asset: existing security clearance.
