Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Designers throughout all phases of the design process – from concept design to space planning and furniture selection;
  • Review and document client interior design requirements;
  • Assess space function and people flow to create a design for a usable and efficient space;
  • Sketch initial design concepts and creating final plans in AutoCAD;
  • Select materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture and finishes; and
  • Oversee the installation of the design elements.

Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma in Interior Design;
  • 7+ years of experience working as an Interior Designer;
  • Experience with AutoCAD to develop drawings;
  • Knowledge of aspects of interior fit-up, including building code requirements, material and finish selection & specification, construction methodologies, M/E, IT and furniture systems;
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing;
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications; and
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a relevant federal government security clearance. Asset: existing security clearance.
