If so, you might be a great fit for our Proposal Team. We are looking for a talented Proposal Writer to our team in Vancouver.


As a Proposal Writer, you will write, edit and provide strategic input to proposals across the country. You will leverage internal relationships to secure the support and assistance of other staff required to complete proposals in a timely manner, consistent with corporate marketing and proposal writing standards and brand messaging. You will also produce dynamic presentations and marketing materials that will wow our clients.

How you’ll contribute as a Proposal Writer at Colliers Project Leaders:

  • Lead the development of professional, high-quality, compelling proposals that effectively educate and inspire action on the part of clients and business prospects
  • Strategically manage the proposal response from receipt of RFP to the delivery of the final product, defining and managing the proposal response plan and schedule including follow-up
  • Actively participate in proposal strategy meetings, researching internal and external information, and planning, managing and executing the written response to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and other complex proposal requests
  • Identify risks associated with proposal preparation and ensure resolution
  • Manage internal communications associated with the proposal preparation and ensure documentation throughout the process
  • Develop core content to be used in all proposal submissions, and provide flawless final editing to ensure the response is accurate, concise and effective 
  • Prepare client presentations in support of proposal submissions
  • Participate in proposal debriefings and other similar opportunities to ensure continuous quality improvement and to identify enhancements for proposal content and process
  • As a virtual member of the corporate marketing team, ensure that the brand and messaging in all proposals are consistent with corporate standards


What experience and skills you’ll bring to the table:

  • Exceptional business writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • A post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent field of study
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in bid or proposal development is required
  • Previous experience in architecture, engineering, construction, management consulting or other professional services environment considered a strong asset
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products with strong Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio proficiency
  • Working knowledge of desktop publishing and graphic design software (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop) a strong asset
  • Completion of Shipley training and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification is an asset
