Overview

As Colliers Project Leaders continues to experience strong growth we are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team in Ottawa.

 

The Marketing Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting the Manager, Marketing Strategies with leading the implementation and execution of a national seminar series and with leading the implementation and execution of national strategies that support Colliers Project Leaders’ business goals within assigned sectors and services. They will also be responsible for assisting the Manager with day-to-day activities of the Marketing Strategies team in support of Colliers Project Leaders’ overall business goals.

 

As a key member of the Marketing Strategies team, you will support the development, implementation and execution of assigned marketing activities including: thought leadership, case studies, research, content development, collateral families, presentation modules, national tradeshows and conferences, speaking opportunities, social media storytelling, communications, and others as assigned. 

You will demonstrate strong writing, planning and coordination skills as you work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups to implement marketing and communication strategies and develop content and materials that aligns verbally and visually with the Colliers Project Leaders Brand – while ensuring quality and timeliness of those deliverables.

Responsibilities

What you'll get to do as a Marketing Specialist with Colliers Project Leaders:

  • Provide marketing support to assigned sectors and services, and to assigned corporate marketing and communication projects
  • Lead the implementation and execution of national marketing strategies for assigned sectors and services, with support (where applicable) from the Regional Sales and Marketing team to execute locally – while ensuring quality, brand integrity and timeliness of those deliverables
  • Support the development, implementation and execution of assigned marketing activities (thought leadership, case studies, research, content development, collateral families, presentation modules, national tradeshows and conferences, speaking opportunities, social media storytelling, communications, and others as assigned)
  • Lead the implementation and execution of an annual national seminar series
  • Support the development and implementation of a conference and tradeshow framework and strategy
  • Support the development and execution of the annual marketing and communications plan, annual sector and service strategy plans, and others as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain relevant internal databases to support collaboration and information sharing across the company
  • Other research activities (as assigned)
  • Other writing/content development activities (as assigned)
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Manager, Marketing Strategies

Qualifications

What you'll need to be successful in the role:

 

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing/Communications or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a marketing role
  • 2 or more years of experience with national seminar series and conference strategy development and implementation
  • Experience working in a professional consulting firm/business-to-business environment would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of facilities and infrastructure capital project delivery within the public sector considered an asset
  • Strategic thinker who understands the big picture and contributes effectively
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent business writing skills for variety of media
  • Self-starter with superior project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, track projects and meet urgent deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop considered an asset
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Precise and accurate attention to detail
  • Bilingualism is an asset
