Overview

As Colliers Project Leaders continues to attract exciting new programs of work we seek an Architectural technician to join our team in Montreal.

 

As a valuable member of the practice you will ideally bring 2 - 5 years’ experience in interior design and project management - with an emphasis on furniture, fixtures and equipment for institutional, healthcare, corporate and commercial clients.

 

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate experience in a client facing capacity while taking the lead on medium – large scale construction projects. Your experience will have seen you act as a active contributor while maintaining a “hands on” approach with strong technical knowledge, collaborative design facilitation capabilities, experience leading user group meetings, and effective project management skills. You will bring energy and a creative approach to interacting and responding to our client needs throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • data gathering, client interviews and on site surveys for client design projects;
  • production of project schedules, moves instructions and implementation plans;
  • liaising with other service providers such as data, telecom, operations and security groups to coordinate client requirements and implement relocation projects;
  • preparation of work requests for implementation;
  • coordination of furniture/equipment delivery and installation;
  • performing post-construction/relocation inspections and deficiency reports;
  • must manipulate AutoCAD;
  • attending project management and design meetings.

Qualifications

  • fluently bilingual (English and French);
  • experience in resource management, quality control, budget tracking and reporting, evaluation of strategies, reporting project operations issues for Real Property projects with values in excess of $3 million;
  • must have performed accommodation management, space planning and fit-up standards tasks for three (3) projects in excess of $3 million within the past 2-5 years, including:

                 - Identification of key milestones, deliverables and deadlines;

                 - Risk management;

                 - Development of sequencing of work and inter-related activities;

                 - Development and management of processes and procedures. 

  • must have critical eyes to details, functionality and harmony of the space, must be able to see the client vison of the project and deliver it in the final space.
