As Colliers Project Leaders continues to grow and attract exciting project opportunities, we seek a Vice President, Healthcare and FF&E Services to join our team of professionals.


The Vice President will take responsibility for the development and execution of a go-to-market strategy to sell our services, and will build national capacity and capability to deliver work in the healthcare and Furniture, Fixtures &Equipment (FF&E) space.


The Vice President is a dynamic leader who will have a high degree of authority with which to carry out their responsibilities in an efficient and independent manner.


Our ideal candidate is highly respected in the healthcare industry and will bring with them the experience, expertise, vision, reputation and professional network to assemble high performing teams, and consistently exceed client expectations. Prior experience in a leadership position operating in a consulting environment within the healthcare services domain is a must.


The Vice President will successfully operate in a matrix organizational structure and will be a key member of the Colliers Project Leaders leadership team that ensures strategy is achieved. The Vice President will be responsible to work within a collaborative team environment to achieve overall corporate success for Colliers Project Leaders. The Vice President is ultimately accountable for ensuring: the best total solution for Colliers Healthcare and FF&E Services’ clients resulting in a high degree of client satisfaction, the quality of work delivered within the healthcare sector and the FF&E Business Unit.


The preferred home office for the leader is Mississauga or Burlington. Alternate locations may be considered for the right applicant.

What you’ll get to do as Vice President Healthcare and FF&E Services at Colliers Project Leaders:


Leadership Team Member and Business Unit Leader

  • Establish and maintain Colliers as the “go-to” firm where clients can expect to get the service, expertise and information they need to successfully meet their real property needs and deliver their projects.
  • Ensure the required resources are provided to meet or exceed client expectations on all projects delivered by Colliers.
  • Specify set business growth targets for each year and develop and manage the healthcare sector national goals and Business Unit to plans with clearly stated and measurable goals and objectives.
  • Lead the Business Unit with the development of a specific business plan, equipping staff with the plan and the tools to be skilled professionals in the FF&E market.
  • Demonstrate confidence and provide encouragement to all healthcare team members and Business Unit staff and clients as needed for success.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Business Unit with an emphasis on cost control and profitability. Executes contracts assigned to the Business Unit.Actively delegate work to the appropriate professional to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Business Unit. Develop all client relationships in a manner consistent with Colliers client centric approach.Maintain regular contact with the client to ensure awareness of any issues and upcoming opportunities and communicate those issues and opportunities to the appropriate personnel.Work closely with the Leadership and HR Teams to achieve the maximum human resource performance for Colliers, including recruitment, selection, on-boarding, training, performance management, health and safety, employee relations, recognition and retention.

People Management and Development

  • Act as the client’s key point of contact with Colliers.

Client Relationship Management

  • Acting as the principal Marketing Manager, oversee the coordination of marketing and business development activities within the healthcare sector and the Business Unit; collaborating with corporate and other regional resources as needed.
  • Ensure the Business Unit operates in accordance with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Motivate and engage Business Unit staff in achieving company and personal business goals.
  • Provide on-going assessment of the staff compliment, filling “holes”, and undertaking succession planning activities to ensure current and future workforce requirements are met.
  • In partnership with the HR Team, conduct continual and active recruiting within the marketplace to grow the teams strategically in defined market segments, and to ensure the best talent available is retained by the Business Unit.

Corporate Responsibilities

  • Work together with the Leadership Team to achieve the maximum operational performance.
  • Act as the advocate of the company’s vision, communicating the corporate vision to the region and the market.
  • Solicit input from Healthcare sector staff and the Business Unit to help inform the business decisions of the company.
  • Assist the Chief Development Officer or designate in the development of corporate policies and procedures.     
  • Deliver suggestions and feedback, directly to the people who can effect change.
  • Actively participate in monthly Leadership Team Meetings, annual Strategic Planning Sessions and regularly scheduled corporate meetings as required.

Business Development

  • Continually expand the business base through regular contact with prospective and key clients.
  • Develop regional strategy consistent with company strategies.
  • Engage clients and the national healthcare business community to support further business development and marketing opportunities.


What you’ll need to be successful:


  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering, architectural, construction or healthcare administration discipline, with professional status, or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
  • PMP Designation and appropriate Healthcare sector accreditations.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience as a design lead or project manager in the healthcare sector, including experience with major institutional capital projects.
  • Expert knowledge regarding healthcare, building codes, contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Previous experience leading a team of design and project management professionals in a consulting environment.
  • Proven leadership and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • A high level of competency with respect to financial management.
  • Computer literacy to the normal user level, with a working knowledge of project management software.
