As Colliers Project Leaders continues to attract exciting new programs of work; we are seeking a Senior Project Manager with specific experience in Utilities Relocation.


Our Infrastructure practice is experiencing exponential growth and as we expand we are looking for a Senior Project Manager specializing in Utilities Relocation to join our team in Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built a reputation around the successful delivery of Infrastructure projects and has the ability to lead front end design and enabling works that allow large scale infrastructure projects to take flight.


You will join our rapidly growing Infrastructure Services team and act as a trusted advisor to Owners on their large, complex infrastructure projects. Our team of consultants delivers project and technical leadership, representing our clients’ interests at all times and ensuring successful outcomes.


Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity in large scale Infrastructure projects with a focus on Roads, Rail, Transit and Transportation. You will also exhibit strong leadership capabilities, particularly in front end design and enabling. You will hold both P.Eng and PMP designations and have experience working as a Project Manager for clients across the Public and Private sector as an owner’s representative.

What you'll get to do as a Senior Project Manager with Colliers Project Leaders:

  • Provide leadership to the client's projects, representing their best interests and achieving their strategic end goals.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction and operation of different transit platforms such as Rail, Light Rail, Rapid Transit, and Ferries.
  • Lead clients through the set-up, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting of their projects
  • Lead medium to large Infrastructure projects
  • Organize project teams towards a common goal and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.
  • Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for select existing clients with the goal to nurture and build upon trusted relationships.
  • Contribute to planning and growth of the infrastructure services business unit within the Pacific region
  • Apply your leadership and communication skills to bring together stakeholders and project teams.
  • Peer review the work of, mentor and develop project managers and engineering support staff.


What you'll need to be successful in the role:

  • A degree or diploma in civil, municipal or transportation engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • P. Eng. and PMP designations preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management and Engineering experience, specifically in the delivery of Infrastructure projects
  • Specific experience in areas such as Transit projects, development services, multi-modal needs, asset management, Transit infrastructure, utilities, and expansion opportunities.
  • Experience with large and complex utilities relocation projects.
  • Experience leading front end design and enabling.
  • Extensive client facing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q’s, tenders and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery models.
  • Practical understanding of provincial government planning legislation and processes.
  • The leadership skills needed to influence decisions and resolve client and project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project).
  • Experience on complex, multi stakeholder projects in a leadership role.
  • Political acumen
