As Colliers Project Leaders continues to pursue new markets and grow our client base, we seek a Business Development Manager to join our team in either Regina or Saskatoon to support our Saskatchewan Region.

In the marketplace, they are known for their ability to communicate, influence and gain the trust of others both inside and outside of an organization. Previous career experience includes a winning track record of consultative selling. Preference is given to those individuals with experience working in project management, design, construction, or real estate organizations. The ability to lead and actively contribute to the writing and production of high quality proposals and presentations is critical to this position.

What you’ll get to do as a Business Development Manager at Colliers Project Leaders:

  • Initiate and nurture prospective client relationships to seek out and secure specific opportunities where Colliers’ experience and expertise can be leveraged
  • Support marketing and sales efforts with existing clients, including exploring opportunities to sell new and expanded service offerings
  • Lead the business development effort with assigned sectors and clients, motivating and monitoring the business development activities of other regional staff
  • Provide input to the Marketing team on targeted client and marketing strategies as well as the development and review of consistent best of class marketing materials
  • Assess networking and trade show opportunities in the region from a business development perspective and assume a leadership role to plan and participate in these events
  • Participate proactively in regional and national business development, marketing and sales meetings
  • Play a major role in setting and achieving annual and monthly sales objectives and targets for the region along with the Regional Vice President and other Business Development Managers
  • Develop and maintain as required, detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services
  • Keep current on competitors’ activity and offerings within the region
  • Effectively leverage the company’s CRM software through regular and consistent use of our ACT! software


What you’ll need to be successful:

  • A university Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar Business Development role for consulting firms or other non-commodity environments
  • Previous experience developing and executing tactical sales plans as well as regularly exceeding established quotas and account objectives
  • The ability to acquire and maintain strong networks of influential contacts within the region as well as maintain involvement with national industry and trade associations
  • Active presence and engagement on LinkedIn or other networking forums
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) as well as CRM database tracking programs
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence management, colleagues, and clients
  • Exceptional organizational, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills
